The programmatic inclusion had previously been shown to be associated with greater usage of the opened space or facilities by community members (Lafleur et al., 2013). Many of the costs related to SUA implementation were not enumerated in this present review due to limited information on expenses incurred by the

With declining budgets and resources in many jurisdictions, SUAs and the partnerships they support may offer important opportunities

for cities and/or communities to promote physical activity at relatively lower cost as compared to other strategies, maximizing existing community assets when possible.
